Anyone who has always wanted to watch a play or a musical, but hesitated because of expensive costs?

I have watched Book of Mormon in $20, War Horse in £20, Les Miserables in $15, Miss Saigon in £20. All in the front row or at least in the first floor with decent view.
북오브몰몬(한화 25000원이하) 워호스 (한화 35000원) 레미제라블 (이만원내외) 미쓰사이공(한화 35000원). 전부 일층이나 앞쪽에서 제가 본 뮤지컬+가격입니다.
How did I do it? Here is the secret that I have been using for 3 years.

1. Use discount system. It is called Student Rush in Broadway and Day-seat in West End.
할인시스템을 적극 활용하라.
브로드웨이에서는 러쉬, 런던 웨스트엔드에서는 데이시트.
You need to check each theatre’s website – and yes, this is time-consuming. SO I have an alternative option for you!

3. Narrow down your watch-list
4. Find out what time is safe for you to arrive to get tickets (ex. unpopular ones – 8~10am, populare ones – 5~8am)
5. Google the theatre’s location
6. Get your cheap tickets! Enjoy the show!

2. Other ways to buy reasonable tickets.
1. TKTS (in Times Sqaure / in Covent garden square)
2. Visit theatre and ask if they have any discounts going on (some shows have a great student discount)
3. Groupon or other tix websites (theatres don’t guarantee any refund or change for these tickets)
더 싸진 않지만 더 편한 티켓 구입

2. 직접 극장방문 (아주 좋은 자리를 학생할인으로 반값에 해주는 경우도 있음)
3. 그루폰이나 다른 할인 웹싸이트 (단, 환불이나 변경은 극장에서 책임 안짐)

3. Quality of seats – VIEW. 좌석 시야
To be honest, views of these discounted seats are PRETTY GOOD.
사실 웬만해서는 다 보인다는 거.. 극장 구조상 좀 덜 보이는 자리는 있어도 아주 후진 경우는 별로 없었던 것 같다.
You should choose seats depends on the shows.
좌석은 공연별로 생각할 필요가 있다.
Recommend slightly back rows : Humongous shows with lots of stage effects and big movements – Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, Wicked
약간 뒤 추천: 무대효과 많고 거대한 공연들 ; 오페라의 유령, 라이온킹, 위키드 등 (혹은 무대 뒤쪽에서 많이 일어나는 경우)
Okay or Perfect with front rows : Miss saigon, War Horse, Once, Jersey Boys, Book of Mormon, and most plays.
맨 앞좌석도 괜찮음 : 미쓰 사이공, 워호스, 원스, 져지 보이스, 북오브몰몬 등 대다수.
Shows I watched in the third floor : Wicked, Matilda, – It was very okay. No need to worry or cry bc you got the third floor.
젤 위층에서 보았던 것들: 위키드, 마틸다. 위에 층이라고 너무 슬퍼말긔. 괜찮다능.
But here is another tip for you who got far seats.
하지만 나처럼 가까이 보는 걸 좋아하시는 분들께 한가지 추천해드리면..
4. Buy “binocular glasses” ♥♥♥ 쌍안경 구입!
온라인에서 아주 저렴하게 가능함 ㅎㅎ 이거사면 멀리떨어진 싼티켓사도 모공까지 다 뚫어볼수 있음 ㅎㅎ
